Senior Human Resources Advisor, Mississauga Toronto

Referring to the Human Resources Manager, the incumbent of the position will have as main responsibilities:

  • Play an active role in all HR functions (recruiting, onboarding of new employees, training and development, employee relations, H&S and disability claim management, complaint management, policies/ procedures and programs administration)
  • Coach managers in mobilizing and developing their team work
  • Implement a new HR culture in collaboration with the Operation team
  • In collaboration with the Human Resources team, work on the harmonization of HR policies, procedures and processes at a national level
  • Ensure compliance with legislation and laws
  • Work on the development and deployment of a new payroll and HR systems with all the people involved
  • Ensure the leadership role in some projects and manage the resources as needed
  • Ensure effective exit interviews and provide management with analysis and recommendations
  • Plan and organize staff events and recreational activities
Training and professional experience of a Senior Human Resources Advisor
  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial relations or business administration
  • Minimum of seven (7) years experience in Human Resources
  • Experience in project management
  • Or equivalent work/study combination

Hiring requirements
  • Good knowledge of labor laws in Canada
  • Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and e-mail required.
