Marie-Anne Tawil
Board Member
Entrepreneur, lawyer, and corporate director, Marie‑Anne Tawil has broad and extensive experience in law, finance, and business management. She is a member of the Barreau du Québec, holds an MBA, and has earned the IAS.A designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.
After beginning her career in private practice, she held senior executive positions at Québecor Inc. She subsequently took on the challenge of leading, as President, the acquisition, management, and sale of several SMEs based in Quebec. She has advised numerous companies and business families on governance, risk management, strategic planning, and organizational structure, with a strong focus on mentoring executive teams and successors.
Marie‑Anne Tawil served on the Board of Directors of Hydro‑Québec and chaired the Board of the Société de l’assurance automobile du Québec. She currently sits on several boards of public, private, and institutional organizations, including DPM Metals, the McCall MacBain Scholarships at McGill University, CBC/Radio‑Canada, Filgo, Métallomax, and Brio Conseils.
She has been a member of YPO for more than twenty years and is a coach at the École d’entrepreneurship de Beauce. She has been awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal and the King Charles III Coronation Medal. She joined the Board of Directors of Congebec in January 2026.
