Trained as an engineer, Jean-Luc Breton began his career in the refinery industry, before moving on to various food companies, including Catelli, Kraft General Foods, Culinar and Saputo.
In 2002, he joined the Canada Bread team as Vice-President, Quebec Operations. In the fifteen years between 2002 and 2017, Jean-Luc held various positions such as Vice-President and General Manager, Head of Eastern Canada, Senior Vice-President of Supply Chain and Head of Corporate Mergers and Acquisitions at Canada Bread. He held the title of President of Boulangerie Vachon from 2015 to 2017.
Jean-Luc Breton has been certified by the Institute of Corporate Directors since 2015 and is a member of the ICD. Since 2017, he has chaired various boards or sat as an independent director in addition to offering his consulting services. In February 2023, he joined Congebec’s Board of Directors.
